It's hard to capture feelings while watching your child grow. Time goes by so quickly and a family photo session is a great way pause and reflect. Cherish what you have because it's the little things that brings it all together to make it significant. Capture special moments in images.
Lifestyle photography lies somewhere between traditional portraiture, which is posed, and documentary photography, which isn't posed at all.
To me, lifestyle photography is a mix of authentic and staged and can be unpredictable, unlike the traditional portrait where the photographer controls lights, poses and props. Lifestyle photography is emotive, meaningful and mostly candid photography capturing feeling and real life emotion. It about connecting and having a little fun with each other.
Below is an image I took recently. Everyone was just settling onto the bed for a session when little Autumn hopped up and decided it would be fun to jump as she would on a lazy Sunday morning. I wasn't ready yet but I caught her out of the corner of my eye and managed to swing my camera around to take the shot. It was completely unexpected and as you can see it took everyone by surprise. And what a great photo it turned out to be! Just look at everyone's smiles! This is lifestyle photography.
